De Jong Concert Hall - November 2002
"I love Singers. Every rehearsal, when I allow myself to be open, teaches me
about myself, about unity...about so many important things. This semester our
Fall Concert made a lasting impact on me. I don't know if I've ever been as
involved in a song as I was during "When David Heard That Absalom Was Slain."
The moments of that song were unique in that the entire outside world was shut
out as we united, as we shared the grief of not only David, but every man or
woman that knows pain and suffering. That unity was cleansing, is cleansing."
