Canti con brio (“sing with exuberance”) was organized in 1994 by Dr. Ronald Staheli to provide a fulfilling musical experience for former members of BYU’s choral ensembles. About half the members were alumni of BYU Singers; the choir also included other BYU alumni and talented choral musicians from the community. All choir members auditioned annually.
Though the choir was disbanded in 1999 due to time constraints, it was a great success during its life, and Canti con brio sang to capacity audiences at every concert.
"Christmas Comes Anew" was the choir’s second CD, produced in 1999. It is a delightful compilation of beautiful Christmas pieces, both treasured favorites and newly discovered gems.
