Tour - 2026 Finland, Austria, Germany

Tuesday, May 26 - Marktoberdorf and Kaufbeuren, Germany

This is our final day of tour before the marathon trip home that will essentially take two days, but the time change brings us back the day we leave. Pretty tricky, that.

The morning began very early with a long-delayed video shoot. We have had two BYU professional video & still photographers with us since Vienna, and their shots have been marvelous. They filmed the video, and we hope to have it available to view soon. They are also going to be editing hours of footage into a short video about tour that you will probably hear about one way or another this summer.

Then came a rehearsal back in Kaufbeuren for tonight’s Final Concert of the festival. BYU Singers will be performing four pieces. Video was also shot here.

Back “home” again for a rehearsal after lunch, this time for the joint choir that will perform tonight. The afternoon will be spent resting and packing as we leave to drive to the Munich airport around 7 am to begin the day that will last a long time.

But this is no complaint—this has been a wonderful tour with a delightful group of people. And then there is their music!! We will all miss singing together or being their best audience. Those of us who will still be in Provo wish the very, very best to the choir members who are moving on and away—but hope they will still stay close and return for reunions!

Tonight’s final pieces: arr. Michael Garrepy: “Glory to God on High”

Ivo Antognini: “I touch God in my Song”

Ernesto Herrero: “Psalm 150”

Encore: “I Am a Child of God” in German

And that song is the perfect way to end this year and this tour.

Below are two photos from tonight. Because of some unfortunate mic positioning that I cannot fix tonight, the final image for our blog is of a concert in the Sibelius Hall in Lahti, Finland.

Auf wiedersehen!
