In November 2007, BYU Singers and Concert Choir combined with the University of Utah choirs and orchestra to perform William Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. This photograph is of the dress rehearsal prior to the BYU campus performance that was filmed for future broadcast on BYU-TV. That broadcast performance will showcase the BYU performance ensembles, only. Kory Katseanes conducted Belshazzar’s Feast. The choirs, along with the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra, performed that piece with two Walton anthems; Ronald Staheli and Rosalind Hall each conducted an anthem.

BYU Singers took a return tour to Southern California after Winter Semester ended. In 13 days and nights the choir sang 10 concerts, gave 3 firesides, participated in two community outreach programs, and gave 5 workshops for children’s, junior high, and high school choirs. And they were still able to fit a few hours in at Disneyland.
The concerts were sung beautifully to appreciative audiences through Nevada and Southern California, with a bonus stop in St. George the first night. The sponsors and host families throughout were well organized and generous, and they made the trip a great experience for the choir. Alumni from BYU Singers and previous BYU choirs were at almost every concert; it was rewarding to sing for them.
Below are a few photographs to give a taste of the tour.
