Saturday, April 25 was the choir’s Bon Voyage Concert. We are in the last days of meetings, rehearsals, and learning about the culture and history of the countries we are to visit VERY soon! In between all of that, we are fitting in last minute shopping and (I hope!) packing. And many members of the choir also fit in graduation, packing up apartments and moving, and final wedding preparations for a few more. It all makes for quite a hectic week, as many of you remember.

Rehearsing just before concert
We were very pleased to see a nearly full first floor packed with family, friends and fans. They were most appreciative of the 90 minute concert, and would have stayed for another 90 minutes had the choir and Dr. Staheli been willing. “Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine” was a hit of the evening, and brought the audience to their feet once again.
I had only my little point and shoot with me last night and took photos from the middle of the audience, but at least they give you a flavor of the concert.

Finally exiting after two encores
A great night! We meet the bus to leave for the airport bright and early Tuesday morning, and will be in transit for the next day as we head to Cork, Ireland and our participation in the Cork International Choral Festival. On now to tour, from whence our next post will originate if an Internet connection allows…

Love the people. You are ambassadors of charity. Thank you for all you do. Have a great trip. The concert was fantastic.
I just want to let all of the BYU Singers know that they again amazed the audience at this concert as they have done over and over at every concert. I absolutely loved going and listening to you all sing at all of the concerts. I wish you all the best of luck as your go on tour!
