Tour - 2025 Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Belgium

Wednesday, April 30

The choir has arrived! One long flight to Amsterdam, with a long enough layover there to wander and find lunch; then a shorter flight to Rome took us to our first destination of this tour. All our luggage made it here, which is always a good way to start a tour! Our luggage crew loaded the bus and we set off through rush hour traffic to finally reach our hotel. It is beautiful, and the choir either unpacked, showered, or wandered around to see all this hotel offered.

The restaurant opened at 8 pm; we weren’t sure what to expect, but it was not your usual hotel fare! The dining area could hold several hundred, and the 10-station buffet area could certainly feed that many! Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, all sorts of meats, salads, and of course, Italian dishes. The dessert buffet was just as spectacular.

Tomorrow starts early and will be busy, so we are all hoping for a good night of perpendicular sleep, instead of sitting in an airplane seat. We are thrilled to be in Rome!
