Greetings form Meridian! We gathered at the Harris Fine Arts Center late morning, and quickly figured out how to load all of the luggage and other other supplies under the bus. There was great motivation to move expeditiously, as we suddenly were hit with winter again, and snow was falling steadily. We have a coach with all of the comforts of home, including wireless and power outlets. It's too nice to call it a bus. Buses have come a long way in the last decade! We arrived as scheduled, and were happy to note a vast improvement in the weather. It might even be warm tomorrow. We were met by Keith and Erika McCauley, the wonderful Singers alumni who are in charge of our time here. They have already taken great care of us. The choir quickly gathered for a rehearsal, met their host families, and were off for the evening--'off' in every sense of the word, as there is no concert this first night. That part of tour will begin tomorrow, along with workshops and clinics. But more on that later. Here is one photo to prove the choir is here, alive, and singing!
